Our 2026 B Corp Impact Report captures how we’re continuing to do business differently, balancing people, planet and progress, and holding ourselves to a higher standard of impact.
Last year, we published our first Impact Report as part of our B Corp journey. It set out our commitment to putting our people, clients and communities at the heart of everything we do, and to embedding purpose more deeply into how we operate.
One year on, our latest report reflects the progress we’ve made. It also highlights where we are continuing to challenge ourselves, because for us, being a B Corp is not a fixed point, but an ongoing process of improvement, accountability and action.
2025 was a defining year for BIC Innovation.
Alongside continuing to embed our B Corp commitments across the business, we completed our transition to a wholly employee-owned organisation. This marks the culmination of a journey that began in 2018, one rooted in the belief that businesses are stronger, more resilient, and more impactful when their people are genuinely invested in their success.
Becoming employee-owned is a significant step for our business. It ensures that our people have a meaningful voice in how we grow and evolve, and that the value we create is shared more widely. It also reinforces our long-term outlook, enabling us to make decisions that prioritise sustainable growth, rather than short-term gain.
This transition is closely aligned with our B Corp values. Both are underpinned by a commitment to fairness, transparency, and accountability, and to building a business that works for the benefit of all its stakeholders.
Turning commitment into action
We have continued to support businesses across a wide range of sectors to innovate, grow and access funding. This work plays an important role in strengthening regional economies, creating opportunities, and helping organisations navigate an increasingly complex and competitive landscape.
At the same time, we have strengthened how we embed environmental and social considerations into our work. Our approach to ESG continues to evolve, ensuring that sustainability is integrated into decision-making across the business, rather than treated as a separate initiative.
Internally, we have remained focused on our people. We have continued to invest in wellbeing, learning and development, and inclusive ways of working, creating an environment where individuals feel supported, valued and able to contribute fully.
Alongside this, we have taken further steps to reduce our environmental impact. This includes a continued focus on decoupling our growth from our carbon footprint, improving the efficiency of our operations, and identifying practical ways to operate more sustainably as we scale.
Taken together, these actions reflect a simple principle: that meaningful impact is built through consistent, deliberate progress over time.
Embedding impact into how we work
What has become increasingly clear over the past year is that impact cannot sit alongside the business, it has to be part of it.
Our B Corp framework helps guide this. It provides a structure for measuring what matters, identifying gaps, and ensuring that we are continually improving. It also creates accountability, both internally and externally, for the commitments we make.
This year’s report demonstrates how that approach is taking shape in practice. From how we support our clients, to how we make decisions internally, to how we engage with our communities, impact is becoming more deeply embedded across every part of the organisation.
Continuing the journey
While we are proud of the progress we have made, we are equally clear that there is more to do.
The challenges that businesses and communities face, whether economic, social or environmental, continue to evolve. As a result, our approach must evolve too.
Looking ahead, we remain focused on building on this momentum. This means continuing to strengthen our ESG approach, further reducing our environmental impact, and finding new ways to support businesses to grow sustainably and responsibly.
It also means ensuring that our employee-owned model delivers on its promise, creating a business that is not only successful, but fairer, more inclusive, and more resilient in the long term.
As our Managing Director, Linda Grant, says:
“I am delighted to share this impact report and look forward to our shared future as an employee-owned business that delivers meaningful impact for our people and our communities.”
