Joining Arts & Business Cymru to Create Lasting Social Value

At BIC Innovation, we’ve always believed that the greatest impact we can make isn’t just through the projects we deliver, but through the knowledge, experience and expertise we share.

That’s why we’re delighted to become a business member of Arts & Business Cymru, joining a network of organisations committed to creating stronger communities through collaboration between business and the arts.

As an employee-owned business and certified B Corp, creating positive social impact is part of who we are. We believe that business has an important role to play in helping organisations become more resilient, sustainable and better equipped for the future. Joining Arts & Business Cymru is another way we’re putting those values into practice.

For more than 20 years, we’ve worked alongside businesses, public sector organisations and social enterprises to help them innovate, grow and overcome complex challenges. From strategy and innovation to funding, marketing, organisational development and impact evaluation, we’ve seen first-hand how the right support can unlock long-term success.

By joining Arts & Business Cymru, we’re looking forward to sharing that expertise with arts, heritage and cultural organisations across Wales.

Our first collaboration will see us work with the Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum in Caernarfon, providing pro bono strategic support to help develop a long-term fundraising and economic development plan. While we’re excited to begin working with the Museum, we see this as the start of a much wider relationship with the Arts & Business Cymru network.

For us, social value isn’t simply about giving back. It’s about building capability, sharing knowledge and creating lasting impact. By helping organisations become stronger, we’re helping them continue delivering value to the communities they serve.

We’re also excited about what we’ll learn in return. The arts and cultural sector brings creativity, fresh perspectives and deep community connections that can inspire businesses to think differently. We see this as an opportunity to learn, collaborate and create value together.

Looking ahead

We’re looking forward to meeting fellow members, building new partnerships and supporting more organisations across Wales.

Whether that’s through mentoring, strategic advice, innovation, marketing, funding support or organisational development, we hope our experience can help organisations unlock new opportunities and build resilience for the future.

This reflects what being a B Corp means to us: using business as a force for good and ensuring the work we do creates positive impact for organisations, communities and the Welsh economy.

Huw Watkins, Executive Director at BIC Innovation, said:

“Joining Arts & Business Cymru is a natural fit for us. We’ve always believed that one of the greatest contributions we can make is sharing our expertise to help organisations succeed. As a B Corp, we’re committed to creating positive impact beyond our commercial work, and we’re excited to work alongside Arts & Business Cymru and its members to help organisations across Wales become stronger, more resilient and better prepared for the future.”

We’re delighted to have joined Arts & Business Cymru and to be supporting its members to create lasting social value through collaboration.
