“I am BIC’s internal accountant, as well as providing financial support for a range of projects and clients.”

A Master of Science in Accounting & Finance obtained at Bangor University, Tom is the Accountant for BIC Innovation.

Tom is a Chartered Certified Accountant and has completed his final professional Association of Certified Chartered Accounting exams. Whilst studying at university and since graduating Tom has gained valuable financial experience and knowledge whilst working for an ACCA approved Accounting & Auditing Practice, Natwest Bank, and BIC Innovation.

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?      

I have recently passed my Strategic Business Reporting exam which means I have now passed all of my ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) exams and am a Chartered Certified Accountant.

What is your go to tool to get your job done?   

Number, spreadsheets, and accounting systems all day can be mentally tough! Listening to deep focus frequencies, helps to stay concentrated. 

Tell us about the main challenges the financial industry faces now.      

Fears of a large rise in inflation rates after huge government financial backing during the pandemic.

What are you most proud of?  

Being a crew member at Moelfre Lifeboat Station.
