In one sentence, what do you do at BIC?

I’m a member of BIC Innovation’s leadership team, contributing to our growth strategy and governance, and offering financial management consultancy support to high-growth potential SMEs, primarily in the food and drink sector.

What could you give a 30-minute presentation about with no advance preparation?

Effective corporate governance. It’s concerned fundamentally with the enhancement of business performance through people. Implementing a governance system helps founders, boards, executives and management coherently connect key elements of a business so that they can confidently orchestrate change, growth and innovation to enable sustained high-value creation.

How do you keep yourself motivated?

I thrive on doing good work that helps businesses to grow and develop. This year I’m celebrating 20 years since starting my journey in offering business advisory support.

What tools do you use to stay organised within your job role?

I have been a digital nomad since getting my first laptop, so I often try new software-as-a-service tools alongside trusted favourites to maintain or increase my productivity – there are some brilliant add-ins for Excel, for example. To start going paperless, I recommend trying a reMarkable tablet – they really are remarkable!
