Rod has a deep knowledge of innovation tools and techniques from initial idea creation through to implementation and scale up. He is a first-class facilitator and strategic consultant who enjoys working with multi-disciplined teams and guiding them through the innovation process. Throughout his 22-year career he has been involved in multiple technical and commercial innovation projects and helped companies create robust innovation processes.
Rod is happy working with pre-start-up businesses, SMEs, and large multinationals, and has worked across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, advanced manufacture, process manufacture, construction, rail, aerospace, logistics, food, and drink, digital and sports.
What’s your background?
I have worked across multiple industries from manufacturing to healthcare, throughout my career there has always been a focus helping create the right environment for innovation, change and growth
What was the first job you ever had, and what did you learn from it?
I am lucky to say I have never had a “worst job”. My first job was washing dishes in a busy pub. I learnt a lot about people and process flow!
How do you stay on top of the latest Innovation/ trends?
Innovation, spotting opportunities and managing change has always been a passion of mine. To keep up to date as well as speaking to our clients, I am always reading, be that books, websites, news articles or blogs.
If you could only have three apps, which would you pick?
Only three?! WhatsApp, Spotify, Google Maps!
