In one sentence, what do you do at BIC?

As an associate I work on many different programmes and projects in BIC. I bring my knowledge and expertise from my varied career to assist food and drink businesses grow and explore new markets.

What could you give a 30-minute presentation about with no advance preparation?

I could easily give a 30 minute presentation about fishing in Wales or even across the world due to having been fortunate enough to have fished extensively at home and abroad for many years.

what is your approach to starting a new project?

I like to visualise a plan and will often use mind maps to draw a plan so all my thoughts are captured. I use a large sheet of paper, the bigger the better and then use different coloured pens to get everything clear and structured. It’s a method that I learnt from a colleague many years ago, and it’s worked well for me since.

Describe a time something didn’t go as planned. what did you learn?

I once travelled to Japan but my luggage was still in Amsterdam. Always have some spare essentials such as underwear and a t-shirt in your carry on luggage, buying clothes for someone my size in Japan can be a challenge.

What’s something you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

Mountain biking.
