Describe your experience in the sector?

35 years in the food industry in Supermarket Buying and Innovation and Product Development roles.  Latterly consultancy for businesses in the food and adjacent market sectors.

What advice would you give your past self?

You don’t have to know everything to start something – take the leap and have confidence that you will adapt, learn and grow along the way.

In your opinion, what is the biggest development in the food industry in the past 3 years?

I think the declining access to a freely moving EU workforce will have huge implications for how food is produced in the years ahead.

Where is the best place you’ve travelled to?

Tough decision but the Western Cape in South Africa and Vancouver Island in British Columbia are highlights.

What are your key skills?

Combining a creative approach with creating and delivering a structured, outcome focused plan.
