Arrivée de Cyril à BIC Innovation

Originally from Fontevraud, a small town in the west of France, Cyril Catin is currently a student in France at the Université Catholique de l’Ouest in the city of Angers.
He has been studying foreign languages (English, Spanish and Japanese) for the past 4 years and began a Master’s Degree in International Marketing and Import-Export in 2009. Cyril is specifically interested in International Negotiation, the Work Legislation in France and Europe and Market Research.
As part of his studies, Cyril is currently on a 3 month placement at BIC Innovation. This placement will allow him to gain international experience as part of his coursework whilst completing his Masters Degree.
During 2008, Cyril also studied in the University of Northern Iowa, USA, for 4 months, in order to complete his undergraduate degree in foreign languages. From this placement, he enjoyed the experience of living in another country, which enabled him to meet new people and learn about other cultures and languages used in one of the smaller US states.
During his placement at BIC Innovation, Cyril hopes to improve his knowledge and develop professional skills in order to improve his future employability, whilst allowing him to improve his English and learn some Welsh!
Cyril’s main hobby is music and enjoys playing the piano and guitar. He is also a keen sportsman and enjoys playing badminton and tennis. Cyril is also a keen traveller and as well as the USA, he has previously visited Canada, Morocco, Italy and Spain and is keen to visit both South America and Russia in the future.
Cyril will be working mainly on market research project as well as a series of marketing focused assignments. Cyril commented that “working with the BIC Innovation team is a great opportunity for anyone looking to acquire professional skills. I am learning a lot of marketing and project management skills, as well as improving my english and I feel confident that my placement will allow me to find a good job on my return to France.”
