Project Team Assistant 

£16,000 - £18,000 p/a

BIC Innovation is a leading Welsh consultancy delivering a range of projects across Wales and beyond.  We are looking to appoint a Project Team Assistant to support two of our growing project teams, the Enterprise Europe Network and Food and Drink Team.  We work in two ways:

  • Delivering publicly funded business support/intervention programmes to SMEs (our clients include Welsh Government, EU, North Somerset Council, Devon County Council, Wales Co-operative Centre, Aberystwyth University)
  • Private consultancy directly with businesses

Based in Pencoed, the individual will provide administrative support to the Marketing Executive and Food Project Co-ordinator in the successful delivery of a variety of projects.  The successful applicant will need to be organised and be able to work on several projects at the same, with different deadlines and to different Project Managers.

The purpose of the role is:-

  • To strengthen the service delivered by our project teams by providing efficient admin support

  • To contribute to the day to day running of an office environment

Key Duties

  • Administrative support to the Enterprise Europe Network Team and the Food and Drink Team 
  • CRM system operation (including validating contacts, data entry, producing reports) 
  • Desk based market research projects, data gathering and analysis 
  • Booking venues for training/workshops
  • Arranging travel and accommodation 
  • Diary support for MD 
  • Answering incoming telephone calls 
  • Ordering goods and services and arranging paperwork for the finance department
  • Experience of using a range of ICT skills including Microsoft, CRM systems, MailChimp, Survey Monkey

Person Specification:

  • Organised and self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi task 
  • Evidence of some project or event coordination
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Proactive, conscientious and a co-operative attitude 
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in Welsh is desirable but not essential
