Improving resource efficiency has become a key driver for delivering competitive advantage for Welsh manufacturing companies.
Small and mediums sized enterprises (SMEs) whose products or processes can be adapted to accept new input materials, without compromising on quality or performance, are ideally placed to benefit from support offered by WRAP Cymru.
To help introduce or increase the use of recycled materials in products, processes and packaging, WRAP Cymru has developed a package of support to help manufacturing
SME’s realise the benefits from introducing recycled products into the value chain.
These workshops offer you the opportunity to learn more about REMake, the Recycling and Resource Efficiency in Manufacturing programme, which provides technical advice and support to help SMEs increase their use of recycled content. Some of the UKs leading authorities on sustainable manufacturing will be providing information on:
- manufacturing trends, opportunities and benefits of adopting recycled materials within products, processes and packaging;
- adopting recycled materials into manufacturing – and how this can be successfully replicated;
- best practice examples of resource efficiency in manufacturing;
- the potential for the use of recycled content within key sectors; and
- information on funding initiatives.
Using recycled materials will reduce manufacturing pollution, reduce waste, conserve energy and resources and ultimately boost profits – and is therefore a vital solution for
business growth and realising increased financial returns.
