Innovation is the key driver within the food industry and in Spring 2011 we’ll be publishing the first comprehensive study of innovation within the UK food industry, by our PhD researcher who surveyed 257 food businesses from the giants to farm-based start ups, watch this space. The senior team include hardened “foodies” with too many years and scars to list, but still as passionate as ever, it’s knowing that strategic innovation really can deliver short term results as well as longer term growth.

Building brands, in-depth consumer insights, exploiting processing and packaging technologies, eco-innovation, radical new products and positioning, not just minor SKUs, effective financial management, creating and exploiting IP, harnessing digital marketing and effective trade marketing and category management.
